My mojito in the Bodeguita and my daiquiri in the Floridita E. Hemingway

Cuba is an interesting mix between nature, art & people: a mix between past and present, an old island that sometimes gets young, proud of its history but often willing to change it. A land full of contrasts and contradictions at every corner that needs to be experienced in the first person to be able to understand it.

Take a walk through the beautiful Old Havana quarter in Havana and follow Hemingway’s word from where to get the best mojito & daiquiri. Spend sometime exploring the green nature hills of ViƱales full of tobacco fields and its unmissable huge rock structures called “mogotes” but also don’t forget to head over the beautiful beaches of Varadero to spend sometime relaxing at the sound of waves.

Stop by Cienfuegos to get a grasp of the real Cuban vibes but don’t miss the gorgeous colours of Trinidad and its night concerts. Santa Clara is the perfect spot to learn about the hard history the country has been through, the Che, Fidel Castro and everybody who fought in the revolution to bring this country together.

Similarly to Varadero, Guardalavaca has beautiful beaches and a crystal-clear waters to offer to the occasional traveller willing to go a bit of the beaten track. Enjoying the sunset from one of the balconies in Santiago de Cuba is just the best but spending a long weekend in Baracoa following the steps of chocolate making and exploring canynons could top your trip up !

See around, have a chat, get lost, read, photograph, take a deep breath and submerge in its waters… Cuba will surely surprise you !
